This article goes through every song that Metallica has released and ranks them by their personal opinion. Similar to a couple of other articles that I have used, it gives a long paragraph of information about each song whether it is about sound or background. It can be useful in my own analysis of the songs and can be quoted when I want to add additional information to my website.

In this article, facts, and background information about the song Blackened is given. This includes quotes from the bass player of Metallica who describes the writing process with the song. This article can be useful because it tells more about the songs and helps support the rank I put it in.

In this article, you are able to get descriptions of almost every Metallica song that was listed in the higher ranks of the list. As they are able to briefly describe more than 80 songs, one is able to find out more about the songs or understand it’s sound. The article can be useful as it not only gives fans opinions on each release but also has the reader more informed on the causes and backgrounds of the songs.

This article is able to touch on the personal lives of the band members and give you a more descriptive look at how Metallica formed throughout the year. One is able to gather where the band reached on the charts for reach album sold as well as talked about the crew and producers behind the music. This source is very useful as it comes straight from the source I am researching. It will have less of an emotional outlook on things and more of an accurate one.

This article is a short article from AllMusic that gives information about each album that is searched. It tells the reader about the musical background to the album “… And Justice For All” as well as the sales records and more. It is a useful source as it will allow the reader to gain insight on opinions and facts throughout the time of Metallica’s releases.

The start of the source talks about how Kirk Hammett was brought into the band and talks about how he hadn’t fully developed his sound during the first album. It goes on to explain how he developed his specific play sound as well as how he explored different looks and guitar playing in later years. It is a useful article to look at as it explores a guitarist in the band who has become very influential to other musicians looking to join the metal scene.

This article is from the Rolling Stones website and it held a poll on which Metallica song was the best. After everyone voted they chose the top 10 that were selected by the fans. It is a useful source because it is a data-based list collected from the public instead of just the opinion of one author.
